Located on the beautiful island of Caye Caulker, Belize, just minutes from Belize's Barrier Reef, you will find Black Durgon Dives nestled in the heart of Avenida Hicaco, or Front Street, to those of us who have lived here our whole lives. We can help you to book a half day, two tank dive to one of several dive sites along the Belize Barrier Reef. Discover Scuba & Refresher Course
If you have never experienced scuba diving and are not sure that you want to commit to a full Open Water Course, this is the discovery course you need! Start by going over important scuba diving rules and theory in the classroom, this takes about an hour. You will learn to set up equipment and see how it works. You’ll talk about scuba diving skills that will be practiced during your dives. After the classroom session we take a 5 minute boat ride to the Caye Caulker Marine Reserve.
Dive 1: Practical application of dive skills. Maximum depth of 4 meters/12 feet.
Dive 2: Discover Scuba Divers dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet in the channel.
Dive 2: Refresher Divers dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters over coral canyons. This is only done when no persons who are doing DSD are present on the tour.
A stop at Shark and Ray Alley is included after both dives so take full advantage of this snorkel stop and swim with nurse sharks and the southern stingrays!
Cost: $150 USD, Minimum of 1 diver.

Esmeralda & Tackle Box
Take a thirty minute boat ride north to explore the spur and groove formations in front of the town San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. These dive sites are famous for having reef sharks, black tip sharks and nurse sharks, dolphins and turtles among other marine life. This trip is two mutli-level dives with maximum depths of 21 meters/70 feet on your first dive and about 18 meters/60 feet on the second dive. Each dive lasts about 45 minutes. The surface interval is spent on San Pedro where you have half an hour to explore the beach and midtown area before heading out for the second dive.
Cost: $150 USD, Minimum of 3 divers.

Spanish Bay
After a 45 minute boat ride you arrive to the crystal clear waters near the reef in front of the Drowned Cayes. We will have 2 dives on the barrier reef along sloping coral walls mixed in with some small tunnels which makes this dive site one of our favorites. Each dive lasts about 45 minutes at a maximum depth of 21 meters/70feet. Surface Interval is spent near the shalllow coral beds where snorkeling is possible. This is sometimes a great spot to look for the manatees.

Caye Chapel
Take a 15 minute boat ride to the nearby Barrier Reef in front of Caye Chapel and enjoy two guided dives over the large coral canyons. You can expect to see an array of tropical fish, sea turtles and eagle rays. Depths of these dives are great for all levels of divers, 21 meters/70 feet is the maximum on dive one and 18 meters/60 feet on dive two. Dives are typically around 45 minutes long. Snorkel the shallow side of the reef during the surface interval to maximize your day out at sea.
